Leo's Big Sleepy Adventure

Leo the lion cub loved to play! Every evening, when the sun dipped low and painted the sky orange, his friend Mona the monkey would call for him. "Let's play one more game, Leo!" she'd chatter excitedly. Leo always wanted to keep playing and playing.

Leo's mom, Mama Lion, would gently remind him. "Leo, it's almost time for bed, little one. Early to bed means early to rise!" But Leo would yawn and promise, "Just five more minutes, Mama!" He wanted to see all the fireflies twinkle in the darkening night.

The next morning, when the sun shone bright, Leo felt very sleepy. His big, playful green eyes felt droopy. Mona the monkey was already outside, ready for a grand adventure. "Leo, let's explore the Whispering Falls!" she called, full of energy.

Leo tried to keep up, but his paws felt heavy. He stumbled over a root and yawned a big yawn. "I'm too tired to climb the big tree," he mumbled sadly. Mona the monkey waited patiently, but the fun felt far away for sleepy Leo.

That night, Leo remembered how tired he felt. When Mama Lion said, "Bedtime, my little cub," he didn't ask for five more minutes. He snuggled into his cozy bed right away. He knew a good night's sleep would make tomorrow much better.

Finally, the next morning, Leo woke up feeling wonderful! He stretched and roared a happy little roar. "I'm ready, Mona!" he shouted, bounding outside. And from that day on, Leo always went to bed early, knowing that a good night's sleep made every adventure the best adventure!
