This Privacy Policy explains how ELEN Story AI, operated by Orhun Kavraz, an individual based in Türkiye ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It applies to adults who create or manage accounts and to information associated with child profiles and Family Playback sessions under those accounts. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. As an adult account holder, you are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before family use or Community submission.
Account and Profile Data: To create and manage your adult account, we collect your name, email address, authentication credentials, and preferences. If you sign in with a social provider like Google or Facebook, we receive profile information they share with us. Child Profile Data: Child profiles are managed under your adult account and are data-minimized. A child profile includes a nickname you choose, a preset avatar, a broad content level, internal identifiers needed to operate the profile, and the adult's family-library assignments for that profile. Essential technical and security data may be associated with your adult account. We do not store child reactions, child voice recordings, or optional child-originated analytics. You must not use a child's real name or enter other identifying information in a child profile. Prompts, Stories, and Generated Media: We process the prompts you enter and the stories, images, audio, and video the Service generates for you. Creating a story does not publish it. A story submitted to Community remains non-public while it is reviewed and becomes public only if approved. Optional Voice Features (Adults Only): If you use optional voice creation features, we may process microphone audio and its transcript to generate content. Family Playback cannot use voice features. This audio and text may be processed by our service providers, including ElevenLabs and Google. Billing and Payments: When you subscribe, we receive transaction data such as your plan, subscription status, and identifiers from our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number. Technical and Usage Data: We collect technical information necessary to operate and secure the Service, such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, crash reports, and security events. With your consent where required, we may collect optional analytics data in the adult service. Optional analytics are disabled during Family Playback. Support and Communications: When you contact us for support or respond to surveys, we collect the content of those communications.
We use your information to: operate, secure, and improve the Service; create and manage your account, child profiles, and subscriptions; generate stories and other media you request; deliver and store your content; honor your sharing and visibility settings; provide customer support and enforce our Terms; measure service performance where a legal basis exists; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use child profile data for behavioral advertising.
Creating a story does not publish it. As an adult, you may separately submit a story for review to be shared in our Community. A submitted story remains non-public while it is reviewed. If approved by our moderators, it may become publicly viewable in our Community and, under the promotional licence in our Terms, may be edited, excerpted, translated, dubbed, distributed, and featured by ELEN Story AI on websites, app stores, social and video platforms, advertising, and other promotional channels. Those third-party platforms process public content under their own terms and may retain or redistribute copies. Family Playback is a separate, private space and never displays Community content. An adult must separately approve a story to add it to the family library. Do not include any private or sensitive information in stories you submit to the Community. You can unpublish your story; we will stop initiating new promotional uses within a reasonable operational period, but we cannot recall copies already released, cached, reposted, or retained by others.
We share information with service providers only as necessary to operate the Service, subject to their data processing and confidentiality terms. Our providers include: • Infrastructure and Storage: Supabase (database, authentication), Cloudflare R2 and Stream (media storage and delivery), Vercel (web hosting), Upstash (caching and rate limiting). • AI and Content Generation: Google Gemini, Imagen, Veo, and Cloud TTS (story and media generation); ElevenLabs (optional adult voice features). • Payments: Polar (web subscriptions), Apple and Google (in-app purchases). • Analytics and Operations: Sentry (error monitoring), and with your consent, Google Analytics. • Social Login: Google and Facebook (optional account sign-in). These providers may process your data to perform services for us. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction like a merger, subject to confidentiality safeguards.
Only adults may create an ELEN Story AI account. Data associated with a child profile is managed under the adult account and may include a nickname, preset avatar, broad content level, adult-approved library assignments, internal identifiers, and essential technical or security data. Family Playback is a restricted, playback-only space. It shows only stories that the adult specifically approved for the family library and cannot open Community, create content, enter free text, upload files, use voice features, comment, react, report, or use account features. Optional analytics are disabled during Family Playback. For more details, please see our Children's Privacy Notice.
We process your personal data based on: the necessity to perform our contract with you (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, provided they don't override your rights; your consent (for optional analytics or marketing); and compliance with our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time for future processing by changing your settings.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Generally, your account and story data are kept until you delete them. Technical logs and backup data may be retained for different periods based on operational and legal requirements. When you delete your account, we remove your active data within a reasonable time, subject to these exceptions.
You can access, update, and delete your account information through the Service settings. Depending on your location, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise your rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
We and our service providers may process your information in countries outside of your own, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from your country. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by law.
We use technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password and any parental PINs confidential. Please notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means to provide you with an opportunity to review the changes. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect signifies your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.

You can request to delete your account from within the Service. This action will permanently delete your profile, child profiles, and associated stories from our active systems, subject to our data retention policies. Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions you have through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You must manage those subscriptions directly with the respective store.
