In the heart of Sunny Forest, Benny the Bear was getting ready for the Great Meadow Race. He wore his favorite red cap and felt very excited. Today was the day to show everyone how fast he could run!

His friend Sally the Squirrel hopped down from a tall pine tree. She was wearing her yellow headband and looked very bouncy. 'What are you eating for your race day snack, Benny?' she asked with a curious tilt of her head.

Benny held up his bag of salty chips and took a loud, crunchy bite. 'I love these chips because they are salty and fun to eat!' he said. Sally frowned and showed him her tiny green satchel full of red apples.

The race whistle blew loudly through the trees, and the animals began to run fast. Benny started strong, his red cap fluttering in the wind. He felt like he was winning as he zipped past the first big bushes!

But soon, Benny’s tummy started to feel very heavy and a little bit grumbly. The salty chips made him feel very thirsty, and his legs felt like they were made of heavy stone. He started to slow down significantly.

Sally the Squirrel zoomed right past him with a happy cheer and a wave. 'Come on, Benny! Why are you stopping?' she called out. Benny sat down on a mossy log and sighed, feeling very sleepy and worn out.

Sally stopped and hopped back to her friend to help him out. 'Chips give you a quick spark, but fruit gives you power that lasts all day!' she explained. She handed Benny a crisp, juicy slice of a red apple.

Benny took a bite of the apple and felt the sweet juice instantly wake him up. It was crunchy and delicious, and he didn't feel thirsty anymore. He felt a new wave of energy rushing through his fuzzy brown arms!

Together, the two friends ran toward the finish line at the edge of the meadow. Benny felt light and fast, his golden tummy patch gleaming in the bright sunlight. He realized that the right food made a huge difference!

Finally, they crossed the finish line together and shared a big bowl of sweet strawberries. And from that day on, Benny always chose fruit for his adventures because it made him feel like a true forest champion!
