Page 1
Leo the Lion loved to eat sweet treats like honey cakes and berry jam. Every evening, his golden fur was covered in sticky crumbs. He did not know that tiny, invisible Sugary Sprites were hiding in his mouth!

Suddenly, a tiny friend landed on Leo’s shoulder. It was Barnaby the Bird, the smartest doctor in the jungle. Barnaby adjusted his silver spectacles and looked closely at Leo’s big, happy smile with a very serious face.

Barnaby told Leo that sugar can make teeth feel grumpy and sad. If the Sugary Sprites stay too long, they start to poke little holes in your teeth. Leo’s eyes went wide as he listened to his wise friend.

Barnaby pulled out a magical tool from his bag. It was a bright orange toothbrush with soft, wavy bristles. He told Leo that this was the sword he needed to fight the sticky sprites and keep his smile bright.

Next, Barnaby added a small squeeze of minty white toothpaste. It looked like a tiny, sparkling cloud sitting on the brush. Barnaby explained that the toothpaste is like a shield that makes the teeth strong and very shiny.

Leo began to brush his teeth just like Barnaby showed him. He moved the brush in little circles, going round and round. He made sure to reach the teeth in the very back where the sticky honey liked to hide.

The toothpaste turned into lots of white, fluffy bubbles. Leo looked in the mirror and laughed because he looked like he had a white beard! Barnaby sang a funny song to help Leo brush for two whole minutes.

After brushing, Leo rinsed his mouth with cool, clear water. He spat the bubbles into the sink and watched them swirl away. All the Sugary Sprites were gone, and his mouth felt fresh, cool, and very clean.

Leo looked in the mirror and gave a giant roar of delight. His teeth were sparkling like white diamonds under the bathroom light. He felt proud of himself for being a brave tooth-brushing hero and protecting his smile.

And from that day on, Leo brushed his teeth every morning and every night. He knew that a healthy smile was the best treasure of all. Finally, Leo and Barnaby went to sleep, dreaming of happy, sparkling adventures.
