Deep in Whispering Woods, Rusty the little fox carried his favorite treasure. It was a sturdy bronze lantern that cast a warm, golden glow. Rusty held the handle tightly, determined to keep its bright light entirely to himself.

As the sun dipped behind the hills, the shadows grew longer and cooler. Near a hollow log, Rusty spotted his neighbor Pip shivering in the dim forest. The tiny hedgehog struggled to see the bumpy roots along the darkening trail.

Rusty felt a gentle tug in his chest. He took a deep breath, walked forward, and lifted the lantern high. "Here, Pip! We can share my light," Rusty called warmly, banishing the dark shadows that surrounded his friend.

Pip smiled gratefully and held onto the sturdy wooden pole supporting the lantern. Together, they walked step by step along the winding trail. The single beam felt twice as bright now that two cheerful companions shared its cheerful glow.

Suddenly, a misty fog rolled over a slippery stone bridge. Rusty paused, feeling uncertain and nervous. Pip pointed his little paw ahead, guiding them past the slick rocks while the golden lantern lit every safe step of their way.

Finally, the two friends safely reached their cozy meadow homes under the shining stars. Rusty realized that keeping treasures to himself brought little joy. And from that day on, Rusty always shared his light with everyone in the forest.
