Lumo the little fox loved evening strolls when the stars began to twinkle. His soft teal scarf kept his neck warm against the cool night breeze. The quiet meadow smelled like sweet clover and damp grass.

Beneath a drooping buttercup flower, Lumo noticed a faint, blinking sparkle. He leaned closer with his warm golden eyes wide with curiosity. A tiny firefly sat shivering on a broad green leaf, looking very sad.

The little firefly buzzed with a tiny voice that sounded like a whisper. 'My name is Pip,' he sighed quietly. 'The wind blew me far away from the old willow tree, and now my glow is fading fast.'

Lumo understood how scary being lost felt. He patted his woven grass basket gently and smiled at his new friend. 'Do not worry, Pip,' whispered Lumo softly. 'We will find your willow tree together tonight.'

Pip fluttered his delicate wings and rested safely inside Lumo's woven basket. The tall meadow grasses rustled like a song as Lumo trotted along the winding dirt path. They watched the starry sky together as they searched.

Soon, they reached a wide bubbling brook with slick, shiny stones. Pip hopped onto Lumo's shoulder and shone his bright greenish light right across the water. His steady beam showed Lumo exactly where to step safely.

On the other side of the stream, thick brambles hid the path. Pip felt nervous, but Lumo took a deep breath. 'Teamwork always lights the way,' Lumo whispered, parting the leafy ferns with his front paws.

Pip zoomed into the air and flashed a happy rhythm of three bright pulses. Ahead in the clearing stood an enormous willow tree with branches trailing to the mossy ground. Hundreds of golden lights danced around its wide trunk.

'You found my family!' Pip cheered, doing a sparkling loop in the night air. The other fireflies swirled around Lumo in a dazzling dance of thanks, brightening his fluffy orange fur with their warm, welcoming glow.

And from that day on, Lumo knew that even the smallest light can guide a friend through the darkest night. With a cheerful wave to Pip, Lumo headed home under the stars, feeling proud, peaceful, and warm inside.
