Little bear Poyraz wonders why some foods give him more strength. During his adventure, he learns that proteins strengthen muscles and help him become a big bear.

Little bear Poyraz was hopping and skipping through the forest. He had eaten the honey his mother prepared for him, but he soon felt tired again. 'Why don't some foods make me stronger?' he wondered.

As Poyraz wandered through the forest, he noticed he was struggling to climb big tree branches. The other animals were faster and stronger. 'I wonder what their secret is?' he asked himself. He wanted to find an answer.

Suddenly, he saw Wise Owl sitting on one of the branches, reading a scroll of leaves. Poyraz knew Wise Owl was very smart. Maybe he could help him.

Page 4
Poyraz approached the Owl and asked: 'Dear Wise Owl, why do some foods make me stronger, but others only give me energy for a short time?' The Owl smiled and adjusted his glasses.

Wise Owl said, 'Ah, dear Poyraz. This is about something special called 'protein.' Proteins are like building blocks for our bodies. They build your muscles and keep you strong.'

Page 6
Poyraz asked in surprise, 'Building blocks?' 'Yes,' said Wise Owl. 'Proteins help you grow and help your wounds heal. They make you a big and strong bear.'

Page 7
Wise Owl showed him some pictures from his scroll. 'Foods like beans, nuts, fish, chicken, and eggs are full of protein. Even the delicious forest berries your mother gives you have a little bit!'

Page 8
Poyraz's eyes lit up. He remembered the fish and nuts his mother often gave him. 'So these foods will make me stronger?' he asked excitedly. The Owl nodded in agreement.

From that day on, Poyraz started eating more protein-rich foods. He climbed trees more easily and played with his friends for longer. He felt much stronger!

And so, little bear Poyraz learned that proteins were not just for filling his tummy, but were magical foods that helped him grow and get stronger. He was now one of the strongest and healthiest bears in the forest!
