Leo, a little lion, discovers every step of government from mayor to president while learning how a park is run.

One sunny morning, little lion Leo wanted to play in the park, but the swings were broken. Barnaby the Wise Owl came up to him and shared an important secret. He said it was a wonderful day to learn how the park and the city are run.

Barnaby explained that everything begins with local government. The mayor builds the city's roads and keeps the parks clean. With great excitement, Leo quickly learned that reaching out to these local heroes was the first step to solving problems in his own neighborhood.

Next, they set off a little farther toward a grand building. Barnaby explained that the governor is in charge of the whole state. The governor makes sure schools provide a good education and is responsible for the safety of the state's big highways. This was truly a very big job.

Leo asked curiously, does the governor make all these decisions alone? Barnaby smiled and said no. The people in the state legislature work together to make the rules. Just like a team game, it is a system where everyone's voice is heard.

As their adventure continued, Barnaby took Leo on an imaginary trip to the capital. At the very top of the country, there is a president who unites all the states. The president is the top leader responsible for the entire country's safety and for friendly relationships with other nations.

They imagined the White House, where the president lives. The president signs laws and makes important decisions for the country's future. But the president has rules to follow too. No one is more powerful than the rules, and everyone must respect justice.

Barnaby didn't forget to mention Congress either. This is the place where laws for the whole country are debated. Representatives chosen by the people write new laws so children can have better parks and clean air. Everyone has a job to do.

Leo now understood much better how this whole system worked. Everything was connected like the links in a chain. The mayor protected the neighborhood, the governor protected the state, and the president protected the whole country. At every level, a different leader was there to help.

So what can I do, asked Leo. Barnaby said the most important part is voting. People go to the ballot box to choose the person who will lead them best. Your voice and your choice are the most powerful things shaping the future of this great country.

At the end of the day, Leo understood why the swings in the park mattered. A good leader cares about every problem, big or small. Leo now knew how he could help when he grew up. And so, the little lion returned home happily, dreaming of becoming a future leader.
